The violin. I only played it for a year in elementary school and I wish I'd never quit. Flute sucked.

Someday I'll finish her Elite Sunspear armor set and dye it black. Because that would be expensive and look wicked-cool with an undead scythe, methinks.

Time to start making dinner! Garlic cheddar biscuits, yumyumyum. ^_^

Okay, I officially need to get to bed. I've tried to beat this stinking mission THREE TIMES now to get Merah the Mursaat Scythe because I can dye it to match her armor, and things just keep going wrong. The connection cuts out, my reactions are too slow...aaargh. >.o I did this no problem with both Pepper and Siren the other day, so clearly it's just bad luck and lack of sleep. Time to get me some snoozes.

So. HP is finally taking my computer in to be worked on. After gutting it per the instructions from the tech support service (which worked a heck of a lot better through email than over the phone...go figure) we've all come to the conclusion that it's a motherboard issue (which I suspected from the get-go since I couldn't boot to BIOS at all).

The best thing is my lovely warranty. :) Free shipping and repairs! I don't even have to mail the thing! They're sending me the packing materials, a shipping company will pick it up from my apartment and bring it back. Easy-peasy. Note to self: renew the warranty like Tree reminded me to. :D

Funny thing about our PS3 while I'm babbling about electronics.
Whenever we turn it on, it makes the internet go down for about 10 seconds. There's no reason for this as it's not currently connected to our interwebs in any way, wired or wireless. I used to think it was funny, until it was turned on halfway through a very long Guild Wars mission and I lost my progress. :\

And has anyone seen those commercials for the Powermat??? This thing is just a flat surface that you set your phones, ipod, DS, or whatever on and it just magically recharges them without plugging in anything. And how about those touch-screen phones FOR YOUR HOUSE??? With the giant screen so you can send pictures and video and whatnot from your cell?

I think I'm supposed to be part of the jaded generation that's completely unfazed by all of this technology, but Monica and I are both still looking at cell phones and going "Star Trek communicators!"

So Monica and I have been renting the first season of True Blood. We caught the first episode at her parent's place ages ago, and I was hooked from the first 5 minutes. Unfortunately, HBO is flippin' expensive, so that was all I saw until we realized that Family Video was renting it. :D

I had a migraine so bad last night that I threw up twice, but I wouldn't turn off the painful source of light and sound that was the television because I NEEDED TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENED NEXT IN THE DARN SHOW.

Stein Mart
MAJOR sale at work this weekend, and we're understaffed and people are sick. This should be fun. >.o 9 hours on my feet yesterday because Jessica went home sick (I certainly hope I didn't give it to her because that fever was NOT fun :[) and there was no one else who could work (I know, I know, there are worse jobs and I did volunteer to stay, but...still!).

Customer service is kind of a bitch at any time, but throw in coupons, sale items that are temporary and therefore unmarked and causing all kinds of customer drama, people putting stuff on the wrong rack and DEMANDING a lower price for something that's not even on sale...AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH I don't wanna!!! O.O There's only 3 people scheduled for the registers today, and I'm all alone the last hour. I hope hope hope it's not busy today. Friday is the "preview" sale for the Preferred Customers, but that doesn't mean squat. The sales are in the system and everyone knows about it. -.-

Oh, and coworkers? I understand that you're returning a crapload of things you bought, putting them on hold, and planning to re-buy them tomorrow because they'll be cheaper and you're trying to save every little bit you can. Believe me, I get it. But don't expect me to be all sweetness and light when you've got 43 (I counted) things to return, all on different receipts, and then DON'T STICK AROUND FOR THE MANAGER TO SIGN YOUR HOLD TICKET PER THE RULES OF THE STORE. It's not going to be my fault if you get yelled at. So there.

ANDREA! I finished reading The Shadow Queen finally. I seem to recall you saying that the whole "side-story" with the SaDiablo family wasn't important enough to the Theran/Cassidy/Gray plot to have them in the same book. When you've got a minute I've got a few counter points to dispute with you. :P

Borders was having quite the movie sale today. I picked up Blood and Chocolate for only 6.99! I honestly think that movie improved on the story in the book it was based on, or at least updated it a little bit. It's entertaining, and I'm glad that the Werewolves in it TURN INTO WOLVES and not some bizarre Professor Lupin scrawny man thing. :\ I'm so damn picky about my werewolves.

I am filled with fail in GW at the moment, so I'm using the internet to it's best abilities and utterly wasting my time. :D

So. Customer Service. I'm not sure if it was better to deal with only a few customers per shift but for a longer period of time each, or to deal with a boatload of different people per shift but only for about 60-100 seconds at a time.

And 90% of consumers actually DO keep their receipts (at least in Stein Mart's customer base). Go figure. God damn returns are easy when they have their receipt. It makes me happy. :3 It also makes me happy that, even though just like at Cold Stone I'm dealing with most of the assholes, unlike Cold Stone I've got the managers actually, you know, THERE and usually backing me up. ^_^

Also, the game informs me that in the 19 months that I've owned GW, I have played for 864 hours total, and 446 of that was with Siren alone. O.O That's nowhere near the numbers I've seen for other people, but it's a bit sobering nonetheless.


Still flippin' nervous about work, but it'll be okay. I've actually opted to NOT wear jeans on this jeans-wearing-day at work, simply because it's college day and I don't have any team crap to wear with the jeans. I'll still donate the $2 to our store's charity for wearing jeans, though.
Beehee, I wore jeans anyway. If anyone asked my red shirt and white sweater were for Indiana U. :3
